Day 1 Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to Rome.
Day 2 Arrive Rome (2) On arrival in Rome we transfer you to the
hotel (if you purchased Land+Air package if not it is additional).
Meet your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions later this
afternoon. This evening, why not take a stroll around this exciting
city?
Day 3 Rome sightseeing & at leisure Today's sightseeing shows
us the Forum, Colosseum as well as St. Peter's Basilica. Later,
free time to perhaps shop or take an excursion to Tivoli. This evening,
why not enjoy dinner in a local trattoria? CB
Day 4 Rome - Venice (Monastier) (2) Through the Latium into the
beautiful Tuscan hills. Then we climb the Apennine Mountains, and
continue via Bologna across the Venetian plains to Venice for a
relaxing two night stay. This evening we enjoy dinner at our hotel!

Day 5 Venice sightseeing & at leisure We marvel at this city
on our cruise to St. Mark's Square. We see the Bridge of Sighs,
Doges' Palace and the Basilica of St. Mark, before seeing a demonstration
of Murano glass-blowing. Then free time to perhaps take a trip out
into the Lagoon and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch and later perhaps
enjoy a gondola serenade! CB D
Day 6 Venice (Monastier) - Verona - Florence (2) Today it's a short
drive to the city of Verona and admire the Roman arena. Time to
explore before we drive via Mantova and Modena into the region of
Emilia Romagna. Then into Tuscany, we arrive at Renaissance Florence
for the night. CB D
Day 7 Florence sightseeing & at leisure Sightseeing on foot
shows us the Baptistry, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore,
Giotto's Bell Tower, the Piazza Signoria and the Basilica of Santa
Croce. Then enjoy a demonstration of fine Florentine leatherwork,
before free time to further explore or shop. CB
Day 8 Florence (Incisa) - Assisi - Rome Today past Chianti vineyards
and head into the Umbria. We make our way into the Apennine Hills
past Perugia reaching Assisi - home of St. Francis. Here we visit
the Basilica and see the tomb of the much-loved saint, as well as
the Giotto frescoes, and visit the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels.
Next, we return to Rome, the 'Eternal City'. This evening, why not
throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain? CB
Day 9 Rome - USA Transfer to the airport for your return flight
to the USA. CB
